Watercooler talk 12/11/2010

All my own talk, all my own imagination.

  1. Barack Obama rode to Washington as Lincoln-incarnate and promising change. He brought about his own downfall by raising expectations sky-high. Placing oneself at par with Lincoln has its own disadvantages.
  2. Why do people complain when companies and banks make profit, at the same time when they demand democracy and free economy. If free economy does not generate profits in a democratic country, that is defined as “failed” socialism (or “free market socialism” that India realised, in 1990, does not work).
  3. SAP stats tweet from Jon Reed (of  jonerp.com): “% of standard programs that are changed in SAP in ERP 6.0: from 4.6C: 64%, from 4.7: 40%, from 5.0: 31%” Interesting, huh?
